The Tulane Institute on Water Resources Law & Policy
Introduction
The Tulane Institute on Water Resources Law & Policy (TIWRLP) works to foster understanding of how we interact with water, collaborating with a wide range of institutions and individuals to incorporate science, engineering, and resource management practices to meet our society’s ecological, cultural, and economic needs. Located in New Orleans, where water surrounds them, the non-profit provides law and policy analysis to decision makers and the public to ensure that water and the ecosystems it supports are maintained for future generations while providing for the needs of the people today.
THE PROCESS
THE OUTCOME
With previous marketing efforts, donor behavior, audience personas, our team created a plan to target each audience by raising brand awareness and increasing donations through various strategies and tactics. We believe the following plan will be effective in reaching these goals for the institute and includes tactical material for the organization to review and potentially implement.
Our team conducted extensive secondary research and planning to reach the goal of raising awareness of the organization to prospective internal and external donors, as well as policymakers on state and federal levels. We began with research on the institute itself, informing our strategies with data and insights and identifying key strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. We also completed a competitive analysis to better understand the comparison of other organizations with similar goals.
